Steven E. Parnell, MD
General Practitioner, Staff Physician

Dr. Parnell is a family physician. His vast experiences in the medical profession and passion for the promotion of health and wellness led him to the founding of Dulcimer Medical Center. He is deeply committed to quality patient care.

The Parnell family lives in Fairmont, Minnesota, where Steve and Donna raised their five children. It was their firstborn, Tim, whose passion for the hammered dulcimer instrument inspired the name "Dulcimer Medical Center." He died unexpectedly at age 22. They also have four daughters. Becky is married to Jon, and works as a newborn intensive care nurse at University Hospital in Minneapolis. She is currently working on her Master's degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. Kellie and husband Nate Reyelts, live in Fairmont and together they are raising their firstborn, Annie Jean. Stephanie attends Northwestern College in Orange City, IA, and is earning degrees in Art, Graphic and Interior Design. Megan also at Northwestern College, is working on a degree in Business/Accounting. Donna is not only Dr. Parnell's helpmate as wife and best friend, but is also on staff at Dulcimer and uses her Medical Technology background to run the laboratory.

Dr. Parnell is motivated by his strong Christian faith and a desire to serve the "Great Physician."

 

Education

Dr. Parnell earned his undergraduate degree at Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota. He earned his medical degree at the Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Not satisfied with the status quo, he is always looking for better ways to help people.

Denise L. Schavey, MD
General Practitioner, Staff Physician

Dr. Schavey is a family physician. She is excited to be part of the Dulcimer Medical Center where she provides all aspects of family medical care, with particular interest in women's health care and pediatrics.

Originally from Iowa, the "Hawkeye State," Dr. Schavey has fond memories of her childhood, growing up on her family's farm near Tripoli. She knew in the 8th grade that she wanted to become a physician. While practicing four years in Mankato, Minnesota, she met the love of her life, David, on a blind date. David farms near Blue Earth, Minnesota, where they have lived since 1992 and are raising their two sons, Brian and Kevin.

Denise enjoys gardening, all types of music, and is a creative scrapbook designer.

 

Education

Dr. Schavey earned her undergraduate degree at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. She earned her medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City, IA and is Board Certified in Family Medicine.

Brooks Rohman, DC
Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Rohman is a family chiropractor with a special interest in nutritional therapy, preventative health care and wellness. His passion is to give patients the gift of health through a conservative, drug–free, surgical–free approach that allows them to maintain and even improve their lifestyle.

Brooks grew up in Truman, Minnesota and now lives on a farm North of Welcome, near the childhood home his wife, Sarah. Their daughter Ida, was born in October 2008 in Christchurch, New Zealand where Sarah and Brooks lived for 2½ years. He and his wife have always had a heart for farm life. So much so that Sarah is now helping her father with farming.

It is Dr. Rohman's firm belief that God created the human body as a beautifully functioning machine. Each part and system of that machine is perfectly designed to do its job well. By minimizing or eliminating internal and external stresses on the body we can help it adapt and heal itself of many common illnesses and ailments. Through regular maintenance, care and lifestyle modifications, we can achieve our optimum health and wellness.

Being trained in multiple treatment options and techniques allows Dr. Rohman to offer a personalized treatment that fits each patient's needs and lifestyle. He works closely with each patient's family practitioner to provide them truly comprehensive health care.

 

Education

Dr. Rohman earned his undergraduate degree at North Park University in Chicago, IL. He graduated with honors from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota with his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2006. Dr. Rohman practiced in New Zealand with one of Australia's leaders in nutritional therapy. He has added several different techniques to his skill set since starting in practice.

Phyllis Crouch
Admissions | Appointment Scheduling

Phyllis has more than 20 years of experience working in a medical office as a director of Admissions/Appointment Scheduling. She takes pride in being part of the Dulcimer family and making sure all patients feel cared for and respected.

Phyllis and her husband Brian live on Iowa lake. They have two grown children. In their spare time Phyllis and Brian enjoy spending time on the lake and with family and friends.

Carolyn J. Drevlow – RN, MSN, C–FNP
Nurse Practitioner

Carolyn is a registered nurse and has worked as a family nurse practitioner in family practice and orthopedics. She is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist for the evaluation of bone mineral density and has special training in allergy testing and treatment as well as OSHA regulations.

A native of Truman, Minnesota, Carolyn still resides there with her husband Darrel and their two daughters. Darrel, is employed at Avery Weigh–Tronix in Fairmont. Daughters Ciera and Brytni are very active, participating in dance, piano, soccer, basketball, and softball. Ciera attends school in Fairmont and Brytni in Truman.

 

Education

Carolyn earned her undergraduate degree at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota and her Masters of Science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Stephanie Erichsrud, LPN
LPN– Licensed Practical Nurse

Stephanie has been working as an LPN since 1995. She earned her LPN license at South Central Technical College in North Mankato, Minnesota.

Stephanie lives in Blue Earth, Minnesota and enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as scrapbooking, stamping, and other crafts.

Amy Fitzgerald – RN, MSN, C–FNP
Family Nurse Practitioner

Before joining the Dulcimer family, Amy worked at the South Central Surgical Center and the Center for Specialty Care.

Amy resides in her native town of Sherburn, MN, with her husband, Jonathan. They have three children: Ty and twins Isabella and Slade. Amy enjoys cheering for Jonathan as he races stock car. She is also active with the wrestling program at Martin County West. Other hobbies include caring for her children, walking, being outdoors, ATV riding, snowmobiling, watching racing and other sports.

Amy enjoys Dulcimer's family and team centered atmosphere. The environment is comforting and welcoming, putting the patients at ease, making it a safe place to discuss concerns and conditions openly.

 

Education

Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing at South Dakota State University and her Master of Science in nursing from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Siri Heille – MA, RN, CNP
Adult Nurse Practitioner

Siri is a Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with a background in women's health. As a Registered Nurse, she practiced medical–surgical, telemetry, and cardiac transplant nursing at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was a visiting nurse with Allina Hospice and Palliative Care in the Twin Cities. Siri specialized in Gynecology at Mayo Clinic as a Nurse Practitioner. She worked in the Employee Health Service at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in Appleton, Wisconsin and in diabetes management in Neenah, Wisconsin.

Siri's family is originally from the Kenyon, Minnesota area, but she spent much of her childhood in California.

Siri is married to John and they have three daughters, two of which are twin girls. The Heille family relocated to Fairmont in April of 2009 where John serves as a pastor in a local parish. In her limited free time—after church and children's activities—Siri's favorite hobby is archiving her family's life story through scrapbooking.

 

Education

Siri graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and received a Masters degree from The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul.

Jill Irmiter
Business Office Manager

As Business Office Manager, Jill brings extensive experience in medical billing and an in–depth knowledge of many insurance companies. She enjoys meeting patients and helping to resolve their questions and needs.

Jill and her husband Mike live and farm near Armstrong, Iowa. They have two daughters, Mara and Madison, who attend school at Armstrong–Ringsted. Jill enjoys spending time attending their school and sporting events, traveling, walking, and reading.

Joanie Madison
Medical Billing Specialist

Joanie Madison serves as Patient Relations/Billing Specialist. She has been working with health insurance since 2000 and enjoys the challenge of solving some of the mysteries associated with insurance claims.

Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Joanie now lives in Sherburn, Minnesota with her husband Eldon and has three grown children.

Donna Parnell
Medical Technologist
Department Director – Dulcimer Clinical Lab

Donna is a Medical Technologist certified by the American Association of Clinical Pathologists and oversees all lab functions at Dulcimer. She worked as a Mycology Specialist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and in a hospital setting where she gaining extensive experience in all aspects of lab operations. She also has experience teaching medical technician students.

Donna is married to Dr. Steve Parnell whom she met while they both attended Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota. They began their married life in Rochester. Donna was glad to be able to put her career on hold to raise their children and equally glad to once again use her skills in clinical laboratory setting.

The Parnells raised their five children in Fairmont where they have lived since 1982. She loves that the harmony they have experienced in their family is also enjoyed in the workplace.

Donna received her B.A. in Medical Technology from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota.

Nate Reyelts, PA
Physicians Assistant

Nate started working at Dulcimer Medical Center in July of 2008, after spending four years providing care in the area of family practice at the Fairmont Medical Center.

Nate and his wife Kellie were married in June of 2008 and bought their first home the same day. In 2009 their daughter Annie Jean was born. The two of them enjoy active outdoor activities, being active in the church, and spending time with their families. Nate also enjoys playing guitar, golf, and being a husband and father. As son–in–law to Dr. Steve and Donna Parnell, he enjoys working with family.

 

Education

Nate graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies.

Judi Kuchenbecker
Medical Billing Specialist

Beginning her career in 1992, Judi works as a medical billing specialist. She received her training at the Albert Lea Technical College.

Judi and her husband Donald live in Blue Earth, Minnesota. They have four children and four grandchildren. Judi enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, walking, attending craft shows and making her own crafts.

Sue Scheppman
Housekeeping

Sue was born in Fairmont, Minnesota. She enjoys spending time with her five children (Dustin, Troy, Daren, Sara and Dana) and one grandchild (Emma). Her hobbies include reading, baking, and having friendly conversations. She loves animals and being outdoors. Sue spent four years in Colorado.

Lisa Schmidt, LPN
Licensed Practical Nurse

Lisa Schmidt is a licensed practical nurse. She has worked in health care since 1980—most of that time with Dr. Parnell.

Lisa and her husband Matt live in Fairmont and own Matt Schmidt Construction, Inc. They have three children: Joseph, Luke, and Olivia. Lisa loves to camp and spend time with her family. She also enjoys reading and walking.

Amber Teachout
Patient Relations Director

As Patient Relations Director, Amber works closely with the staff and patients to ensure patients feel welcomed, comfortable and well cared for. She has worked as a medical transcriptionist for more than 20 years. She held positions at Mankato Clinic and Fairmont Medical Center before joining the Dulcimer family. Amber loves working with people and in the medical field.

Amber grew up in Elmore, Minnesota and now lives in rural East Chain with her husband Malcolm and their two children, Marcus and Mason. Malcolm is a sales associate at Graham Tire in Fairmont. Marcus is attending Winona State University and Mason is a senior at Granada–Huntley East Chain High School and play sports year round. Amber and Malcolm enjoy attending school sporting events and are their children's biggest fans.

Amber has a degree in medical transcription from Albert Lea Technical School in Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Peggy Wille, LPN
Licensed Practical Nurse

Peggy is a licensed practical nurse with more than 30 years of experience working in health care. She has enjoyed working alongside Dr. Denise Schavey for much of that time.

She married her husband Alan in 1983 and they currently live northwest of Fairmont where Alan operates their dairy and grain farm. They have two grown daughters and two sons. Their elder son attends Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota and the younger attends Truman Public Schools.

Peggy's hobbies are reading, cheering on her children at their sporting events, watching movies, fishing, and spending time with her family. She is living her childhood dream of becoming a nurse.

Peggy is a graduate of St. Mary's School of Practical Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota.

Sara Utermarck, RN
Registered Nurse

Sara has ten years of nursing experience with previous experience in oral surgery and urology.

Sara and her husband Jim live in Fairmont and have two children, Jackson and Anna.

Education

Sara attended Winona State University and earned her nursing degree from Iowa Lakes Community College.

Jessica Zotz – RDMS, RVT
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Registered Vascular Technician

Jessica Zotz is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and Vascular Technician, with a background in radiology.

She enjoys building personal relationships with her patients and providing hands–on care. Jessica, her husband Robert and their sons Koen and Caden reside in Armstrong, Iowa. She enjoys the small town atmosphere and feels very fortunate to be able to raise a family there. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, being at the lake, scrapbooking, and golfing.

Education

Jessica received her training at the Mayo School of Health Science in Rochester, Minnesota.

Lori Zoeller, LPN
Licensed Practical Nurse

Lori is a licensed practical nurse with experience working in both long term care and family medicine.

Lori is married to Keith Zoeller. She moved to Fairmont in 1997 after growing up in DeSmet South Dakota with her three siblings. Lori enjoys spending time with her family and friends and working on remodeling projects in her home.

Lori received her LPN license from South Central Technical College in North Mankato.
