Will you take time to listen to me?

Yes. At Dulcimer Medical Center we believe patients want and deserve a provider who is competent, compassionate, respectful, truthful, and thorough… someone who will really listen. We want to come alongside our patients in a partnership where care is based on a continuous healing relationship. Patients however are in control of their health, and care is customized to each patient's needs and values.

What services do you provide?

Dulcimer Medical Center is a primary care provider with family practice physicians, nurse practitioners, L.P.N.'s, and support staff. We offer a wide variety of services including lab tests, X–Rays, EKG's, Ultrasounds and allergy tests. Minor surgical proceedures are done on site in our two well equipped surgical rooms.

What happens if I need to go to the hospital?

Dulcimer staff members have full privileges at Fairmont Medical Center. We can admit and care for patients in the hospital. As an independent clinic we are not limited in where we can refer patients.

I am a Medicare patient. Why am I getting a bill for my annual exam?

Medicare does not cover routine/preventative physicals. If you schedule and receive an annual/routine exam it will be billed that way. Always check your coverage and benefits in your medicare manual if you are unsure of your coverage/benefits.

Will my allergy testing be covered by insurance?

Many insurance policies do cover allergy testing. Dulcimer Medical Center does a variety of testing for patients who are having issues that may be related to allergies. If you call the business office, we can give you procedure codes for the test that you might have done. Then you should check with your insurance company to see if the testing would be covered. It is every patient's responsibility to know his/her insurance coverage.

If I have insurance, why do I need to pay for a sports physical upfront?

Sports physicals are not typically covered by insurance. Dulcimer Medical Center has special days set aside to do sports physicals as a cost savings to patients. If a regular office visit is booked for a sports physical during regular hours—other than those set aside for sports physicals, the cost to the patient would be greater.

How do I transfer my health records from my previous provider?

You will need to request that your health care records be transferred to Dulcimer Medical Center. Download an Authorization for Release form here.

How do I Signup for my eClinical Works® Virtual Visit account?

In order to signup for the Virtual Visit access, you will need to contact one of the staff members of Dulcimer Medical Center. You can contact Dulcimer Medical Center by following the Contact Us link. After account creation and setup you will be notified that your online account is active through the eClinical Works® patient portal. This will allow you to access patient records, schedule appointments, request prescription refills and much more!
